Authenticated web-service crash via unchecked image-setting length

Buffer overflow in ASUS BMC firmware’s remote image settings allows remote authenticated users to crash the web service with an oversized string. The remote image configuration function copies or processes user-entered text without first enforcing its supported length, allowing the input to overflow a buffer. Administrative access to the network-reachable BMC interface is required, and the documented consequence is termination of the management web service.
