Script execution via unsanitized scanned SSID
Published Mar 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in the Repeater Wizard on Acexy Wireless-N WiFi Repeater 1.0 firmware 28.08.06.1 allows attackers to execute JavaScript. The repeater inserts an attacker-controlled SSID into /repeater.html without sanitizing it before browser rendering. An attacker must broadcast the crafted SSID within scanning range and wait for an administrator to open Repeater Wizard; the payload can read or alter data available to that page.
