Unauthenticated code execution via migration archive upload
Published Mar 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Remote code execution in LUCY Security Awareness Software through 4.7.x allows remote attackers to run PHP code without authentication. The Support section's Migration Tool accepts a system.tar.gz archive containing a .php file and extracts it beneath the web-accessible public/system/static path. A network request to the extracted file triggers server-side PHP execution, with no account or user interaction required.
