Unauthenticated subscriber database modification via WebUI API
Published Mar 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Request validation in Open5GS WebUI 2.1.3 through 2.2.x before 2.2.1 allows remote attackers to alter subscriber data via HTTP API. The WebUI Express application exposes subscriber database create, read, update, and delete endpoints without authentication checks, so crafted requests are accepted as unauthenticated operations. Remote attackers can add administrative users or otherwise change subscriber records, with confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact depending on the records targeted.
