Code execution via crafted column name
Published Apr 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Jamovi 1.6.18 and earlier allows attackers to execute code when a user opens a crafted .omv document. The Electron interface interprets attacker-controlled column-name content from the document as executable script instead of neutralizing it. Exploitation requires user interaction with an attacker-supplied file, and the payload runs with the victim user's privileges.
