Stored cross-site scripting via unsanitized registration name
Published Mar 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in register.php in Web Based Quiz System 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject script through the name field. The registration handler accepts a script-bearing name, stores it, and the ranking view renders that value as executable markup without output neutralization. No prior account is required to submit the name, but script execution occurs when a user views the ranking page, exposing or modifying data in that browser session.
