Stored cross-site scripting in Textpattern CMS 4.8.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers. The Comments editor stores HTML event-handler markup entered in a comment URL field and renders it without neutralization on the public article page. Exploitation requires an authenticated CMS session to save the payload and a visitor to load the affected comments section, exposing page data and actions available to that visitor.
