Authenticated database query manipulation via unescaped language parameter
Published Apr 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Piwigo before 11.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries through the language setting. The language activation path passes the language parameter into an SQL statement without neutralizing embedded quote characters. Administrative access to admin.php?page=languages is required; crafted input can disclose database user and version values, with further effects bounded by database privileges.
