Stored script execution via unneutralized width value
Published Mar 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in BoonEx Dolphin CMS 7.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser through Page Builder. The Page Builder accepts a width value containing script tags, stores the crafted setting, and renders it without neutralizing the embedded script. Administrative access is required to alter the setting, and execution requires another user to view the affected page; the demonstrated payload reads the victim's session cookie.
