Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted logo upload
Published Mar 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in SonLogger before 6.4.1 allows remote attackers to execute code through an unauthenticated POST request. The /Config/SaveUploadedHotspotLogoFile handler accepts an ASP payload labeled as image/png without checking the filename extension or file content. No authentication or session header is required, and successful upload places executable content in a web-accessible path for server-side execution.
