Stored script execution via unescaped tracking URL
Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 19, 2024
Stored XSS in Mautic 1.0.0-beta4 through 4.4.12 and 5.0.0 through 5.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts. The /mtc/event endpoint stores a crafted page_url with contact activity, while affected views render derived identifiers and page-hit data without proper HTML encoding. Exploitation requires a Mautic user to view the affected contact or report data, causing the script to run in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
