Unauthenticated command execution via unchecked API parameters
Published Mar 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in rakibtg Docker Dashboard before 2021-02-28 allows remote attackers to execute commands via crafted API requests. The affected API controllers concatenate command and object parameters into strings that backend/utilities/terminal.js passes directly to child_process.exec without validation. No authentication is required, and the application listens on the network interface by default, so shell metacharacters execute arbitrary commands with the service account's privileges.
