CVE-2021-27839Network attack vector

Administrator redirection and data disclosure via CSV formulas

Published Mar 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

CSV injection in BigProf Software Online Invoicing System 4.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disclose client data via CSV exports. Client-record text fields accept formula-leading values, and Save CSV exports them without neutralization, causing spreadsheet software to evaluate them when an administrator opens the file. A regular account can plant the formula, but exploitation requires an administrator to export and open the CSV; execution can redirect the administrator or expose other clients' details.
