Stored script execution via crafted category name
Published Aug 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Vehicle Parking Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a category name. The Add Categories handler accepts the catename POST parameter and stores it without neutralizing script markup, which executes when View Categories renders the saved value. Administrative access is required to submit the category, and a user must open the category view; execution is confined to that viewer's browser context.
