Login denial via intermittent TACACS+ authorization failure
Published Aug 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
TACACS+ authorization failure in Brocade Fabric OS after 8.2.0 and before 8.2.3a or after 9.0.0 and before 9.0.1b allows attackers to deny logins. Broadcom has not published the underlying implementation error that makes the TACACS+ authorization decision fail intermittently. Exposure requires AAA TACACS+ and a valid account for the affected user; the documented impact is intermittent switch-login denial only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
