CVE-2021-27786Network attack vector

Credentialed data access via arbitrary trusted origins

Published Jun 7, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

CORS misconfiguration in HCL DevOps Test Hub 10.0 through 10.2 allows remote authenticated users to access data through a victim browser. The server trusts arbitrary Origin header values while returning Access-Control-Allow-Credentials, allowing a hostile origin to issue credentialed cross-domain requests. Exploitation requires a signed-in user to visit attacker-controlled content; resulting requests can perform permitted actions and disclose responses within that user session.
