CVE-2021-27761Network attack vector

Data decryption via weak TLS encryption

Published May 6, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Weak TLS in HCL BigFix Platform 9.5 through 9.5.18 and 10 through 10.0.5 allows remote attackers to decrypt protected network data. HCL identifies inadequate transport encryption but does not disclose the affected endpoint, protocol version, cipher suite, or cryptographic operation. Exploitation requires network access to BigFix traffic and conditions sufficient to defeat the negotiated TLS protection, exposing data confidentiality without an established broader compromise.
