CVE-2021-27738Network attack vector

Coordinator modification and SSRF via unchecked REST mappings

Published Jan 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper access control in Apache Kylin 3 before 3.1.2 allows remote attackers to alter coordinator state through REST requests. Every /kylin/api/streaming_coordinator/* mapping in StreamingCoordinatorController.java omits security checks, and node-detail bodies permit limited server-side requests. No authentication or user interaction is required; attackers can assign or unassign streaming cubes and create, modify, or delete replica sets.
