Administrative command manipulation via unsanitized admin.pl argument
Published Mar 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Argument injection in Accellion FTA 9.12.432 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter an admin.pl invocation via crafted POST input. An administrator-only API endpoint passes insufficiently sanitized input into the local Perl admin.pl script, allowing an extra argument to be inserted. Administrative privileges are required; public sources do not disclose the specific admin.pl operation or downstream effect.
