CVE-2021-27702Public exploit

Authenticated command execution via Ping Utility

Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 15, 2024

Command injection in Sercomm S3-AC2100 Firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary router commands through the dashboard. The dashboard Ping Utility passes its IP-address field to a command interpreter without neutralizing shell separators, so an appended pipe launches an attacker-supplied command. Valid dashboard credentials and adjacent-network access are required; successful exploitation permits command execution with the router utility's privileges.
