Stored XSS via unsanitized gallery field name
Published Mar 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Batflat CMS 1.3.6 Galleries allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the field name. The Galleries field name is accepted as HTML or script content instead of being safely encoded when rendered, enabling stored cross-site scripting. Exploitation requires a remote attacker to submit the crafted value and a user to view the affected gallery; impact is script execution in that viewer's browser.
