Service crash via malformed Enqueue packet
Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP Enqueue Server affected kernel releases allows remote attackers to crash the service. EncPSetUnsupported() fails to validate fields in a specially crafted Enqueue packet before reading beyond the intended memory boundary, triggering an internal error. Unauthenticated network reachability to the Enqueue Server is sufficient; the documented consequence is service unavailability, with no data read or modification.
