Unauthenticated crash via overwritten image plane count
Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Memory corruption in SAP Internet Graphics Service 7.20, 7.20EXT, 7.53, 7.20_EX2, and 7.81 allows remote attackers to crash the service. In CDrawRaster::LoadImageFromMemory, an image request overwrites the color-plane count with bits per pixel, driving an excessive loop until a movzx instruction crashes. The request requires a previously retrieved system-state value; the reported consequence is service unavailability without data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
