Service crash via unchecked packet counter
Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in SAP Internet Graphics Service 7.20, 7.20EXT, 7.20_EX2, 7.53, and 7.81 allows remote attackers to crash the service. Ups::AddPart in the IGS portwatcher uses packet data directly as a movs instruction counter, causing memory to be read beyond its bounds. Exploitation requires retrieval of an existing system-state value and a crafted IGS request; it interrupts availability without reading or changing data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
