CVE-2021-27619Network attack vector

Authenticated masked-attribute disclosure via iterative search

Published May 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in SAP Commerce Backoffice Search 1808, 1811, 1905, 2005, and 2011 allows remote authenticated users to infer masked data. Backoffice Search evaluates attacker-supplied character guesses against attributes the user lacks permission to view, while masked search results reveal whether each guess matches. Low-privileged Backoffice access is required, and repeated queries recover restricted attribute values without changing data or interrupting service.
