Restricted payroll data exposure via insecure temporary folder
Published May 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in SAP Business One 9.2, 9.3, and 10.0 allows local users to access restricted payroll data via its Chef cookbook. The cookbook leaves incoming and outgoing payroll data in a temporary folder whose access restrictions permit unauthorized local access; SAP has not publicly named the folder path or setting. Low-privilege local access to a test system installed with the affected cookbook is required, and exposed files can reveal sensitive payroll information.
