Host clipboard disclosure via default guest sharing
Published Feb 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Genymotion Desktop 3.2.0 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to read host clipboard data. The default host-to-guest clipboard bridge exposes cleartext clipboard contents to Android apps, which can monitor changes without permissions. Exploitation requires an untrusted app to run in the virtual Android device while sharing is enabled; the vendor considers the configurable behavior intentional.
