Browser script execution via reflected query parameter
Published Mar 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in DynPG 4.9.2 allows remote authenticated users to inject JavaScript through the query parameter. The backendpopup/popup.php endpoint places the query value into hoverable page content without neutralizing an injected event handler. Administrator-panel access and victim interaction by hovering over the injected content are required; the script then runs in the victim's browser context.
