Authenticated script execution via unescaped request URI
Published Mar 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected cross-site scripting in DynPG 4.9.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a crafted /index.php URI. The admin login panel reflects the path following index.php into an HTML response without neutralizing script-breaking markup. Exploitation requires administrative authentication and another user to open the crafted URI; the script then runs in that user's browser context.
