Authenticated command execution via executable web.config upload
Published Jun 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in ZOLL Defibrillator Dashboard before 2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The Device Check File facility saves unchecked uploads beneath the web root, where IIS processes ASP embedded in an uploaded web.config file. A non-administrative account is sufficient, and successful exploitation executes commands in the web server's operating-system context.
