Code execution via CATPart out-of-bounds write
Published May 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Datakit import modules in Luxion KeyShot 10.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted CATPart file. The CATPart parser fails to validate user-supplied structure data before writing past the end of an allocated structure. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and code runs with the current process's privileges.
