Unauthenticated data modification via unrestricted IIS remoting functions
Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Improper access control in Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk AssetCentre 10.00 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify sensitive data. The IIS remoting services allow unrestricted calls to functions that operate on sensitive application data. Network access to the remoting endpoints is sufficient; no authentication or user interaction is required, and successful requests can alter stored information.
