Unauthenticated command execution via unsafe LogService.rem deserialization
Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Deserialization in Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk AssetCentre 10.00 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The LogService.rem service insufficiently verifies serialized data before deserializing it, allowing attacker-controlled objects to trigger command execution. No authentication or user interaction is required, and commands execute with the vulnerable service's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
