CVE-2021-27463Network attack vector

Sensitive-information access via persistent session cookies

Published May 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Persistent session cookies in Emerson Rosemount X-STREAM Gas Analyzer all revisions allow remote attackers to access sensitive information. The embedded applications retain session cookies instead of properly invalidating the session-cookie attribute, leaving authentication material available for interception and reuse. Network access is sufficient without prior privileges or user interaction; reuse exposes information available to the captured session.
