Unauthenticated server takeover via unsafe .NET deserialization
Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Deserialization of untrusted data in FactoryTalk AssetCentre 10.00 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over servers and agents. .NET Remoting endpoints deserialize attacker-controlled objects without sufficiently validating the resulting object graph. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants full access to the main server and every agent machine.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
