CVE-2021-27452

Device takeover via hard-coded password

Published Mar 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in General Electric REASON MU320E firmware before 04A00.1 allow local users to take control of the device. The firmware embeds a fixed password that its authentication path accepts, but the vendor has not disclosed the account, interface, or code locus. A local low-privilege foothold is required; successful use grants control of device data, configuration, and operation.
