CVE-2021-27451Network attack vector

Unauthenticated device access via reversible passcodes

Published Dec 21, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Improper authentication in Mesa Laboratories AmegaView 3.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to access the device via predicted passcodes. The passcode generator uses an easily reversible algorithm, allowing attackers to reconstruct a value accepted for authentication. Network reachability is required; public sources do not identify the protected functions available after access.
