CVE-2021-27416Network attack vector

Session takeover via crafted-link script execution

Published Mar 11, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Cross-site scripting in Hitachi Energy Ellipse EAM 9.0.25 and earlier allows remote attackers to compromise browser sessions via a crafted link. A crafted link supplies malicious code that Ellipse EAM causes the victim's browser to execute; the affected endpoint and neutralization failure are undisclosed. Exploitation requires the victim to click the link, and successful execution can expose confidential information or enable takeover of that browser session.
