Information disclosure via Toolgate out-of-bounds read
Published Apr 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Toolgate in Parallels Desktop 16.0.1-48919 allows local users to disclose sensitive hypervisor memory. Toolgate insufficiently validates guest-supplied data before accessing an allocated buffer, causing a read beyond its boundary. Exploitation requires high-privileged code execution in a guest; hypervisor code execution requires chaining with another flaw.
