CVE-2021-27250Public exploit

Credential disclosure via unchecked CGI file path

Published Apr 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Path traversal in D-Link DAP-2020 1.01rc001 allows network-adjacent attackers to read stored credentials through a CGI request. The CGI handler accepts the errorpage request parameter as a file path without validating it before file operations. Exploitation requires adjacency to the access point but no authentication, and exposed files can include stored credentials.
