Unauthorized notebook read and overwrite via crafted requests
Published Mar 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Dataiku DSS before 8.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to read and overwrite unauthorized Jupyter notebooks. The Jupyter notebooks integration accepts specially crafted HTTP queries without correctly enforcing project-level access controls. Exploitation requires coding permissions and write access to one project, but exposes notebook content and integrity in other projects.
