Cleartext storage in Telegram for macOS before 7.4 (212543) allows local users to read self-destructed audio and video messages. The Secret Chat media-handling logic leaves received media files in the macOS sandbox after the expiration timer removes them from the chat. Exploitation requires local access to the recipient's Mac and exposes retained media without altering chats or interrupting service.
