CVE-2021-27176Public exploit

Wireless credential disclosure via world-readable configuration file

Published Feb 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cleartext password storage in FiberHome HG6245D firmware through RP2613 allows attackers to read 5 GHz wireless credentials. The /fhconf/fh_wifi/wifictl_5g.cfg file stores WPA, WEP, and RADIUS keys without encryption and assigns mode 0644, granting read access beyond its root owner. Any account with access to the device filesystem can obtain the wireless authentication material, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.
