Management interface exposure via missing IPv6 firewall
Published Feb 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper access control in FiberHome HG6245D firmware through RP2613 allows remote attackers to reach management services over IPv6. The default IPv6 ruleset leaves INPUT on ACCEPT while HTTP and Telnet services bind to globally addressed wan0 and br0 interfaces. Internet-routable IPv6 connectivity is required; the exposed services become reachable without crossing the intended WAN firewall boundary.
