Unauthenticated CLI access via hardcoded web credentials
Published Feb 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in the FiberHome HG6245D web daemon through RP2613 allow remote attackers to enable CLI Telnet access. The webs binary embeds the awnfibre account password and accepts the published pair at the HTTPS /fh endpoint, which removes the Telnet access restriction. Successful use opens CLI Telnet on TCP port 23; the web service listens on the LAN by default and is Internet-reachable over unfiltered IPv6.
