Unauthenticated administrative access via hard-coded credentials
Published Feb 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in the FiberHome HG6245D web daemon through RP2613 allow remote attackers to access ISP administration functions. The webs binary embeds the admin/admin pair and accepts it at the /fh HTTPS interface, which can open access to the device's CLI Telnet service. Reachability requires access to the management interface; it listens on the LAN by default and can be Internet-reachable over unfiltered IPv6, enabling administrative control and a path toward a root shell.
