Administrative access via hardcoded web credentials
Published Feb 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use of hard-coded credentials in the FiberHome HG6245D web daemon through RP2613 allows remote attackers to gain administrative access. The webs binary embeds an ISP administrator credential and accepts it at the HTTPS /fh management endpoint instead of requiring a device-unique secret. The interface listens on the LAN by default and is also Internet-reachable over unfiltered IPv6; successful login can enable the CLI Telnet service.
