Stored script execution via unsanitized ROUTE field
Published Apr 15, 2021 · Updated Nov 11, 2025
Stored XSS in CASAP Automated Enrollment System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts via the ROUTE field. The student update workflow stores the ROUTE value and renders it without neutralizing HTML or script content when the record is reloaded. Access to Students > Edit and a subsequent page view are required, exposing the viewer's session-accessible data and actions to the injected script.
