Database key disclosure via Host-header SQL injection

Published Feb 16, 2021 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

SQL injection in Accellion FTA 9_12_370 and earlier allows remote attackers to retrieve database keys via a crafted Host header. The document_root.html endpoint incorporates attacker-controlled HTTP_HOST data into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax. No authentication is required; recovered W keys can generate valid tokens used to reach a separate command-execution flaw, enabling file theft when the flaws are chained.
