NTFS elevation of privilege in affected Microsoft Windows releases allows local users to gain elevated privileges via local access. Microsoft has not published the vulnerable NTFS code path or the operation it performs incorrectly on attacker-controlled input. Successful exploitation requires low-privileged local access and grants control beyond the user's assigned privileges.
